Engineered for quick steering response and confident handling year-round, the Firehawk GT Pursuit is suitable for use in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even in light snow.The asymmetric pattern of the Firehawk GT Pursuit is molded from a high-silica tread compound, and Firestone's Veri-Pitch technology randomizes the tread blocks to reduce drone and overall noise. Robust, lower-void elements in the outboard shoulder are designed to enhance lateral grip and handling traction, while the inboard block and groove design has more void to evacuate water from the footprint. Higher sipe density in the inboard zone works with the high silica content of the compound to further improve traction in slippery conditions.A two-ply, polyester casing helps combine durability and ride comfort and supports two wide, high-strength steel belts. Two nylon cap plies reinforce the tread for further durability in addition to high-speed capability and improved handling response.
