The tread design is engineered with an optimized pitch sequence to reduce noise frequency for quiet operation, and the alternating tread block geometry provides stability for responsive handling. The wide, circumferential grooves combine with the lateral notches to evacuate water from the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance, and the in-block sipes create the biting edges needed for traction in slippery, wet and wintry conditions.Internal construction of the Discoverer H/T Plus consists of a two-ply, polyester casing to help balance durability and ride quality. The two wide, steel belts are reinforced by a single nylon cap ply to aid handling and high-speed capability.
