Deep, wide grooves allow easy water evacuation from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance, while sipes and block edges aid traction in slippery conditions, including in snow.The three-ply, polyester casing of the Open Country R/T improves durability and handling, and the high turn-up further contributes to sidewall puncture resistance. The rugged sidewall compound helps prevent cuts, snags, and penetrations off road, and the upper sidewall design enhances traction in deep terrain or during aired-down operation.
