The LTX Winter is Michelin's Light Truck/SUV Studless Ice & Snow tire developed to combine good snow and ice traction with commercial light truck load carrying capacity. Available in Load Range E (10-ply rated) sizes, LTX Winter tires are designed for the drivers of most medium-duty, heavy-duty and commercial vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, as well as for commercial shuttles and chassis cab vehicles using light truck tire sizes. LTX Winter tires meet Michelin's Green X standard* for eco-focused manufacturing and low rolling resistance, and confirms the tire's contribution to reducing vehicle fuel consumption, emission of CO2 gases and improving sustainability through conservation of natural resources. The LTX Winter is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roadsThe LTX Winter molds Michelin's state-of-the-art, cold-weather W/Max tread compound into a tread profile featuring MaxTouch Construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. A symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes and over 1,000 biting edges enhance traction in snow and on ice. Four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots promote lateral water evacuation to enhance wet traction and stopping performance.
