The Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP is Michelin's Light Truck/SUV Performance Winter / Snow tire designed to provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility in the case of complete air loss due to a puncture while driving. The Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP is developed for the drivers of all-wheel drive crossover and sport utility vehicles who need confident traction in cold, wet, snow-covered and icy driving conditions and meets Michelin's Green X standard for low rolling resistance, confirming the tire's contribution to reducing vehicle fuel consumption and emissions of CO2 gases.Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP tires feature Michelin's Helio Compound 3G (3rd generation sunflower oil-enriched compound) molded into a directional tread design combining a continuous center rib with independent intermediate and shoulder blocks to blend stability on dry roads with hydroplaning resistance on wet roads and traction in slush, snow and on ice. Michelin Stabiligrip technology featuring variable geometry sipes (wavy at the tire's surface and straight at their base) increase tread block rigidity to enhance handling at higher speeds, as well as permit more biting edges for greater traction in wet and wintertime conditions. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wound polyamide cord to support the tread, while a polyester cord casing enhances ride comfort.Michelin Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.Note: Snow platform indicators (the equivalent of "snow wear bars") are molded into the Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP's tread grooves to inform the driver when deep snow traction will be reduced as the tire's tread reaches the point where the remaining tread depth becomes less effective in deep snow.Install Latitude Alpin LA2 ZP tires in sets of four only.
