The elements of the center and intermediate ribs are coupled for stability and combined with Cooper's StabilEdge Technology help deliver precise and responsive handling in dry or wet conditions. Open shoulder notches and four wide, circumferential grooves help evacuate water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning, and the 3D Micro-Gauge sipes are full depth to provide traction in wet and wintry conditions long into the tire's life.The internal construction of the Evolution Tour consists of a one-ply, polyester casing supporting twin steel belts. High ply turn-up provides a two-ply sidewall, and a single, nylon overwrap reinforces the tread area for durability, improved handling response and high-speed capability.
